Preventing Handlebar Corrosion - Bicycle Maintenance

If you're using alloy handlebars on your bike then corrosion is something you need to regularly check for. This is especially important for bikes that get used a lot indoors. These typically get covered in sweat during hard workouts. Carbon handlebars are a true prevention for this issue, however they are expensive and come with their own material issues. Replacing bar tape often, cleaning your bars thoroughly, and using Boeshield T9 will ensure your bars (and other parts) are in the best condition for riding. Boeshield T-9 was designed by Boeing Aviation as a corrosion inhibitor for aircraft components.
